My Approach
It’s good to see you!
It’s sometimes hard to believe that I’ve been practicing mental health therapy for more than 20 years, and I feel that it is still an honor and privilege to get to know and work with my clients. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my practice is most informed by mindfulness at its core. It is from the standpoint of the present that we can start to bring consciousness into those parts of ourselves that are desperately seeking change. While we may have common experiences, thoughts, emotions, and body sensations, everyone has a unique experience and outlook on life that is based upon our life experiences.
My work is rooted in the belief that no one is inherently broken. We all have a strengths within ourselves that can help us be the person we want to be toward ourselves and our loved ones, and sometimes this leads to overcoming tendencies that have dogged our footsteps for many years.
I employ an integrative approach that incorporates various therapeutic techniques to tailor support to each individuals’ needs, including Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and EMDR.
I support people in exploring:
